           ATTENTION: HPPOA Needs a Trustee
Extremely concerned HPPOA members and residents are informing the Community that we are experiencing unprecedented ongoing mismanagement from the Board of Directors.
• Since 2019 members have been excluded from exercising voting rights protected under state law. The last 2 Membership Meetings were mismanaged and halted before Nominating and Finance Committees could be elected. Disallowing members’ to vote means the BOD appoints directors to fill vacancies. There’s no current members’ Nominating Committee handling the elections resulting in a BOD conflict of interest. Are we protected from fraud? Return sitting board members ONLY if you want more of the same.
• Director for District 6 seems to get left out of voting this year. Why? Seems the president can’t do without him so he appointed him to a term exceeding the allowable term, per Bylaws. With the seat not being filled by voters, the president can reappoint him. The president disregards member input, leased our land with only one signature, his. Legal? Not by any measure.
• 2017 Membership Meeting a majority voted for “Loss of Confidence” requesting the General Manager be replaced but he’s still mysteriously employed.
• 2017 Membership Meeting a majority voted for a Forensic Financial Analysis. Board voted to move forward in September 2018 and mysteriously stalled. Ongoing requests for transparency, directors’ to fulfill oaths, mandated financial documents, and for members’ 2017 majority vote to be retroactive, have been ignored.
• Demands to advertise and obtain minimum 3 bids from contractors as required by law, free from conflict of interest and connections to the BOD, are being ignored and business is conducted behind closed doors.
• Sprawling development means more road fees being paid in, but why are our roads pocked with potholes and unhealthy dust, degrading asphalt roads and road signs not being maintained?
Where is all the money being used and how can the residents ever accomplish the goal of harmony, accountability and healing? HPP is special and deserves the best behavior from the community to achieve trust, wellness and fairness in this state of Aloha.
Don’t allow this to continue. Get involved.
Vote in a new Board of Directors who will follow our bylaws.
