Island Schools ‘PAAC’ A Big Punch
The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council hosted the 20th annual Hawai‘i Regional Academic WorldQuest Competition — a nationwide international trivia competition organized by World Affairs Council
of America — on Feb. 11 at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Campus Center Ballroom. More than 100 students from 13 schools from O‘ahu, Maui and Hawai‘i Island competed. (Below) Waiākea High School students (from left) Claire Kildahl, Taarini Godbole, Beatrice Kim-Lee and Abigail Jensen won the grand prize, which included paid airfare and hotel accommodations to represent Hawai‘i at the national competition in Washington, D.C. in April.
