Thanks to community sup- port over the last 30 years, HWLF has provided special grants to numerous local non- profits. In 2021, we awarded over $75,000 to 12 nonprofits focused on projects assisting women and children in need, including ones that provide access to the legal system, health services, support for those at-risk and victims of violence, and educational, re- habilitation and advancement
opportunities. The next appli- cation deadline is April 1.
(Children’s Law Project of Hawai‘i) empowers children through youth- focused legal advocacy.
CLPHI empowers children through youth-focused legal advocacy. When children are the subject of court proceed- ings, their needs are often drowned out by adult con- flict. CLPHI cuts through the fray, listens to the children it serves and fights to ensure that institutions put the needs of keiki first.
Visit hwlf.org for grant application and news about our upcoming fundraiser this fall.
Apply By April 1 For Grant
Our grant cycle is twice a year, May and November. Typically, grants range from $500 to $5,000. Grants on a project basis or to jump-start funding — versus operation- al expenses — are preferred. Grants are funded by pro- ceeds from our annual fund- raiser, which includes a live performance by esteemed notables in our community and a silent auction.
